DN40 Promag H 300 Stocked for Cleaning Circuits and Product Recovery

October 2026 — The DN40 (1-1/2 inch) build of the Endress+Hauser Proline Promag H 300 has been added to our stock, order code 5H3B40-AAIBAEAFBAFDCS0BA2. This is the bore most often specified for CIP supply and return headers, where the same instrument sees caustic at 80 degrees Celsius in one shift and cold rinse water in the next, and still has to prove its reading afterwards.

Cleaning circuits are the part of a hygienic plant where flow instruments are punished hardest. Temperature swings, chemical attack and frequent washdowns shorten the life of anything with a mechanical part or an elastomer in the measuring path. A full-bore electromagnetic sensor with a PFA liner answers that duty without a second variant for high temperature.

Duties this size is specified for

• CIP supply and return headers on tanks, fillers, pasteurisers and mixers
• Product recovery and pigging loops, where the flow signal triggers the changeover from product to rinse water
• Utility branches carrying purified water, WFI and clean condensate

Behaviour across a full cleaning cycle

The PFA liner and stainless steel sensor body cover the whole −20 to +150 degrees Celsius band, and sterilisation at 150 degrees Celsius and 5 bar for up to 60 minutes stays inside the series envelope. Because the pipe is not constricted, cleaning velocity is set by the CIP pump rather than by the instrument, and there are no moving parts to wear out between cycles. The hygienic housing is rated up to IP69, so the transmitter compartment can be washed down directly.

Documentation for audits

A calibration record travels with every instrument and is traceable to factory standards. Material certificates for wetted parts can be added at the time of order, and the configuration list issued against the order code means the installed unit can be matched line by line to the purchase documentation — the difference between a smooth audit and a week of emails.
